Build the Operational Engine of a Global Energy Software Platform

Cuculus develops the digital infrastructure that utilities rely on to operate modern energy systems.

Our platform ZONOS connects millions of smart meters, sensors, and devices worldwide and enables utilities to collect data, analyze grid behavior, and control energy systems in real time. The platform supports electricity, gas, water, heating, and other critical infrastructure sectors.

As energy systems become more decentralized and dynamic, the software operating them must become more intelligent, scalable, and automated. Cuculus is building the technology that enables utilities to operate in this new world.

We are looking for a Chief Operating Officer who enjoys building systems, improving organizations, and applying modern technologies—including AI—to make companies operate faster and smarter.

What is the role about?

This is not a traditional corporate COO position.

We are looking for a builder.

Someone who enjoys designing operational systems, improving processes, removing friction, and enabling teams to perform at their best.

You will lead the operational backbone of Cuculus and ensure that we can deliver complex enterprise software solutions while continuously improving how the company operates. You will work directly with the CEO and leadership team to ensure our organization can scale efficiently and operate with high reliability across international markets.

Your Role at a Glance

Build and Run the Operational Engine
You will oversee and continuously improve the operational areas of the company, including:

delivery and implementation of enterprise software systems
customer operations and support
operational infrastructure and platform operations
internal operational processes and quality management

Your mission is to make the organization predictable, efficient, and scalable.

Make the Company AI-Native
We believe AI will fundamentally change how companies operate.
You will lead the adoption of AI and automation across the organization, including:

development workflows
internal knowledge systems
documentation and training
support operations
operational monitoring and analysis

The goal is simple: remove friction, automate repetitive work, and enable people to focus on solving meaningful problems.

Build Operational Frameworks
Many organizations operate through tribal knowledge and ad-hoc processes.
Your job is to design systems that make the company run smoothly:

standardized delivery frameworks
scalable operational processes
automation wherever possible
continuous operational improvement

Enable High-Performance Teams
You will lead teams responsible for:

delivery and implementation
technical operations
customer operations
operational excellence initiatives

Your leadership style should empower teams to take ownership, think entrepreneurially, and constantly improve how they work.

Experience
You likely have experience in one or more of the following environments:

enterprise software companies
platform businesses
infrastructure software
IoT platforms
industrial software

Experience managing complex technical organizations and large-scale software deployments is important.

AI Curiosity
You are genuinely interested in how AI can transform organizations.
You don’t need to be an AI researcher, but you should:

experiment with modern AI tools
understand where automation creates value
think about how technology can fundamentally improve operations
