Wise is an innovative medical device company developing the new generation of implantable leads for neuromonitoring and neuromodulation using its proprietary supersonic technology. The electrodes of Wise are highly ergonomic, conformable, soft, and thin, thus allowing for great adhesion, minimal invasiveness, and excellent adaptability to the nervous tissue. This is possible thanks to the innovative supersonic technology, which allows for the production of stretchable, flexible, and biocompatible (medical grade) electrodes integrated into extremely thin elastomeric substrates. The first commercial product of Wise is the CE-marked Wise Cortical Strip (WCS®), a single-use medical device for intraoperative neurophysiological monitoring (IONM) during brain tumor and epilepsy surgeries. The Wise Cortical Strip is used for continuous recording of the brain’s spontaneous electrical activity (ECoG) and somatosensory evoked potentials (SEPs). It is also used for brain stimulation, aimed at eliciting motor evoked potentials (MEPs).
