Responsibilities
- Maintain and improve DevOps processes and tools around our k8s deployments, including observability
- Contribute to optimisation and development of components of our platform
- Define and implement security technical and organisational measures
Your Profile
Must-Have
- 5+ years of backend engineering experience
- Solid Linux system administration skills
- Production Kubernetes experience – has deployed, operated and debugged k8s workloads in production
- Fluency with CI/CD pipelines and modern deployment practices
- Comfortable applying current security practices in backend and infrastructure work (secure coding, secrets management, dependency and container scanning)
- Strong written communication and documentation habit;
- Able to work effectively in a remote-first, distributed team
- Comfortable owning technical conversations with customers and partners, including scoping decisions, API integration question
Strongly Preferred
- Experience with JVM languages (Java, Kotlin, Groovy, or Scala)
- Experience running or operating self-managed Kubernetes clusters
- Experience with threat modeling, security reviews, or working under formal security/compliance requirements (e.g. BSI Grundschutz)
- Infrastructure-as-Code experience (Terraform/OpenTofu, Ansible, or similar)
- Background in geoinformatics or related geospatial domains
Nice-to-Have
- Observability and monitoring experience (Prometheus, Grafana, or equivalents)
- Experience with terraform/OpenTofu
