tl;dr we need someone who can own our blog’s long‑form content, drive organic growth through SEO, and turn complex tax topics into clear, compelling narratives.
the bigger picture: as our dedicated content marketer, you’ll craft in‑depth guides, whitepapers, and case studies that educate our audience and rank highly in search. You’ll lay the foundation for a sustainable organic channel that fuels sign‑ups and establishes Steuerboard as the go‑to authority in tax tech.
What you’ll actually be doing:
Plan, research, and write long‑form blog posts (guides, how-to’s, whitepapers, case studies) that simplify complex tax and finance topics
Conduct keyword research and competitive analysis to inform content strategy
Optimize on‑page SEO: craft effective meta titles/descriptions, structure headings, implement internal linking
Manage the editorial calendar: ideation, drafting, reviews, and publication schedules
Track performance metrics (organic traffic, time on page, backlinks) and iterate content for continual improvement
Perform regular content audits and refresh underperforming or outdated posts
You should probably:
have experience in writing blog posts
be a razor‑sharp writer who can translate technical subjects into engaging, actionable content
feel at home with SEO tools such as Ahrefs, SEMrush, or Moz, plus Google Analytics/Search Console
know basic HTML and be comfortable publishing in a CMS (e.g., WordPress, Contentful)
have an analytical mindset and be data‑driven in your approach
be proactive: you spot content gaps and fill them without waiting for direction
bonus if you’ve led a blog from zero to significant organic traffic growth

You’ll own every step of the content lifecycle—from ideation through publication and performance analysis
Deadlines matter: you’ll balance depth and speed to keep the editorial calendar on track
We don’t have a full editorial team yet—you’ll help build the process and standards
Office in Düsseldorf (some remote days ok), with close collaboration across departments
