Our mission
Seven Education (formerly Sdui Group) develops a smart, AI‑powered platform that helps schools and educational institutions work more efficiently. Our products reduce administrative workload, improve communication and enable teachers, institutions, and decision-makers to focus on what matters most: learning, growth and people.

As a European EdTech group with 350+ employees, we build intuitive and scalable solutions used widely across the education landscape. Every day, they help create clarity, streamline workflows and strengthen collaboration. We build with courage, ownership and meaningful collaboration - and we stay inspired by the real impact our products create for the people at the heart of education. Our ambition is clear: to become Europe’s leading EdTech brand.

If you want to join that journey and grow with us, we would love to hear from you.
Your mission
As our Director Controlling, you will build and lead the group’s Controlling & FP&A function during a phase of high growth and acquisitions. You bring structure, insight, and financial discipline to a fast‑moving, multi‑entity SaaS organisation to enable better decisions, stronger performance, and scalable growth. Your work will create true transparency, elevate strategic steering, and shape how we plan, measure, and optimize value across the entire business.
What you’ll do
  • Own the group-wide planning and forecasting framework, including annual budgeting, rolling forecasts, and multi‑year plans.
  • Build and continuously refine a robust driver‑based financial model covering revenue, cost, margin, cash, and headcount.
  • Establish and run a group performance-management framework with clear KPIs, targets, and accountability mechanisms.
  • Deliver variance analyses and forward‑looking insights to identify risks, opportunities, and required actions early.
  • Design, standardise, and improve management reporting across entities, products, and functions.
  • Develop dashboards and analytics covering revenue performance, unit economics, customer behaviour, project profitability, and cost efficiency.
  • Lead financial due diligence, business‑case modelling, synergy assessments, and post‑merger value tracking for M&A.
  • Define Controlling requirements for systems, data structures, reporting standards, and the single source of truth.
  • Partner closely with Finance, Product, GTM, and Operations to translate strategy into measurable financial outcomes.
  • Act as an independent and trusted sparring partner to CEO, CFO, and senior leadership — challenging assumptions and strengthening decision quality.
  • Build, lead, and develop a high‑performing Controlling & FP&A team with clear interfaces to Accounting and Finance Operations.
What you’ll bring
  • Strong experience in Controlling / FP&A, ideally in a high‑growth, multi‑entity or investor‑backed environment.
  • Proven track record in building or redesigning budgeting, forecasting, and planning processes — including driver‑based financial models.
  • Experience improving decision quality through better transparency, KPI frameworks, dashboards, and performance reviews.
  • Hands-on expertise in reporting, forecasting, scenario modelling, long-range planning, and financial analysis; SaaS exposure is a plus.
  • Experience supporting M&A processes (due diligence, business‑case validation, synergy modelling, or post‑merger value tracking).
  • Ability to act as an independent control function while building strong, collaborative relationships with senior stakeholders.
  • Comfort operating in complexity, ambiguity, and transformation contexts — pragmatic, data-driven, and resilient.
  • Leadership experience: hiring, developing, and scaling high‑performing teams.
  • Fluency in English; international experience is an advantage.
Where you’ll be
You can be based in one of our hubs in Germany (Koblenz, Hamburg, Berlin) with a hybrid setup. Regular presence in your home hub is expected, combined with flexibility for remote work and occasional travel across locations.
What we offer
  • Purpose & Social Impact: At Seven Education, you contribute to shaping the future of education in Europe and help improve the daily work of schools. You can take two paid days per year for volunteer activities.
  • Flexibility & Modern Work: Flexible working hours, hybrid models, remote work and workations within the EU, Switzerland and the UK are part of how we work.
  • Learning & Development: Dedicated learning time, access to learning platforms, language courses in German and English, and continuous development opportunities support your personal and professional growth.
  • Team & Collaboration: You will work in a supportive, collaborative environment that values trust, openness and teamwork. A team-building budget is available for workshops and shared events.
  • Ownership & Growth: You will have the opportunity to take responsibility, shape structures and grow with a company that combines a start-up mindset with the ambition to build a leading European software group.
  • Time Off & Everyday Perks: 30 days of paid vacation, half-days off on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve, and dog-friendly offices.

We welcome people of all backgrounds, identities, and perspectives, because transforming education for a better tomorrow starts with equal opportunities today. If you’re excited about this role but don’t meet every requirement, we’d still love to hear from you.
