YOUR IMPACT

At Proxima Fusion, we’re working on one of the biggest engineering challenges of our time and we’re looking for a Working Student in Communications & Content Creation who wants hands-on experience across the full spectrum of modern communications. This is not a “watch from the sidelines” role: you’ll help create video, editorial, and digital content that explains complex science, highlights world-class engineers, and shapes how fusion energy is understood by the public, media, and decision-makers.

You’ll work on everything from short-form and long-form video to social posts, written pieces, and campaign content - gaining real, relevant experience in how strategic communications are built, produced, and distributed in a fast-moving deep-tech startup environment.

Are you passionate about digital storytelling, video production, social media strategy, and creating compelling content? Join Proxima Fusion’s Communications team to help shape how the world sees the future of energy. Reporting to the Brand and Content Lead, you’ll support the development and production of social media content and multi-channel campaigns that bring Proxima’s technology and mission to life.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Create and edit multi-channel content – Help plan, script, and produce posts, videos, and campaigns across LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, and other platforms.

  • Support video production – Assist in filming, editing, and optimizing short-form videos that showcase our people, our technology, and our progress.

  • Collaborate creatively – Work across the team to support with content that translates complex scientific and technical topics into clear, compelling digital stories.

  • Help shape Proxima’s online presence – Contribute ideas for visual identity, new content formats, and audience engagement strategies.

  • Analyze and improve – Track content performance and support data-driven recommendations to enhance reach and impact.

WHO YOU ARE

  • Skills – Experience with creating and optimizing videos for different platforms (especially LinkedIn, Instagram, and YouTube), video editing (e.g. Premiere Pro or CapCut), and visual content creation tools (e.g. Canva or Adobe Creative Suite).

  • Creativity – You identify as a creator with a strong sense for storytelling, an eye for visual style, and a deep knowledge of trends, algorithms, and best practices across social platforms (being Very Online is a plus).

  • Technical curiosity – You don’t need to be an expert of fusion energy, but you’re motivated to learn about it and communicate about it in engaging ways.

  • Language – You are fluent in both English and German.

  • Education – You are currently pursuing a degree, preferably in Communications, Marketing, Film, or a related field.

INTERVIEW PROCESS

  • Recruiter Interview (30-60 min)

At Proxima Fusion, our mission is bold: making limitless clean energy a reality. To get there, we need a high-performing, diverse team that brings different perspectives, challenges assumptions, and builds together with purpose. We know that diversity of thought and experience leads to better ideas, stronger execution, and a more resilient team. We don’t look at how you identify, what you look like, who you choose to worship or what ethnicity you are. We care about what you can bring to the table.
