This role is critical to accelerating plancraft's product journey and provides the perfect foundation for continued growth at a senior level. You'll lead along the whole software lifecycle: from early conception (in collaboration with UX and Product Management) to deployment into production – helping to realise our product's potential while setting technical direction.
As part of this, you'll be joining one of our feature squads as a technical leader. Together with your squad, you make sure plancraft continuously improves - and thereby fulfils our vision of creating maximum
S P A C E for contractors. We keep our squads small and autonomous - consisting of 3-4 engineers, 1 Product Manager and 1 UX Designer.
We are looking for experienced talents ready to take on significant technical and leadership responsibilities. This role can come with both Technical (e.g. Staff Engineer) or People leadership (e.g. Chapter Lead), based on your competency and interests.
Your main tasks and opportunities: - Lead the scoping, planning, and implementation of complex features and capabilities along the whole software lifecycle - on top of GCP with React in the frontend, serverless express services in the backend - both in TypeScript
- Technical Leadership: Drive architectural decisions, establish engineering standards, and guide technical strategy across multiple teams
- Developer Experience: Lead initiatives to improve our platform for fellow engineers by driving tooling adoption, major refactoring efforts, and tech stack evolution
- Mentor and coach engineers across the organization, providing technical guidance and career development support
- Lead technical discussions and engage with internal stakeholders at all levels - within and outside tech - Drive the adoption of AI within our product by staying at the forefront of state-of-the-art capabilities and translating market innovations into customer value
- Pioneer the use of GenAI within Engineering, establishing best practices and elevating engineering productivity across the organization
- Own technical outcomes and be accountable for delivery quality and timeline adherence
How you will work: - It’s a cross-functional team, with engineers, UX and PM
- We’re using Scrum to organise our sprints with the typical meetings - but tailored to our needs
- The engineers are organised in a tech-chapter across the whole product development team, making sure to work collaboratively across team-borders and improving all of plancraft
- Github drives our code and our issue management
- Slack is our tool of choice to communicate with each other
- The google suite helps us to organise the company
- Besides that we’re open for discussion on what to use, as long as it helps us deliver
