The company is developing a platform for exploring the glycome to develop novel therapeutics, based on array technology, protein chemistry, and advanced carbohydrate chemistry. The company is able to synthesize, screen, and select highly potent and specific heparan sulfate glycomimetic drug candidates in cardiovascular, inflammatory, and infectious diseases.

The seed investor High-Tech Gründerfonds (HTGF) finances tech start-ups with growth potential and has supported more than 700 start-ups since 2005. With the launch of its fourth fund, HTGF now has about 1.4 billion euros under management.
