  Dcubed is embarking on a new series of demonstration missions for our novel In-Space Manufacturing (ISM) technologies and is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to be the glue between the launch vehicle, spacecraft, and payload elements. In this role you’ll be at the center of our ISM Missions Team, while still playing a key role in ISM systems development and verifications.
This is not simply a desk job. You will work closely with our global ISM development teams to help guide product development, build and test. Everyone is hands-on at Dcubed, with the Sr. Systems Engineer playing a direct role in hardware test and systems integration.
Responsibilities:
· Lead systems engineering and integration activities between major system elements on Dcubed’s ISM demonstration flights, including launch vehicle, spacecraft, and payload interfaces
· Develop and maintain functional and interface requirements documents.
· Assist with the development of verification methodologies and plans.
· Identify and derive key systems and subsystem requirements within Dcubed ISM projects.
· Support build and test activities at the bus and payload level, from prototyping through launch and mission operations.
· Lead risk management and failure modes and effects analysis for Dcubed USA ISM products.
· Manage system technical development budgets and maturation plans.
· Contribute to global Dcubed systems engineering function process improvements.
Eligibility Requirements
· Onsite/Hybrid Required: This position is based at our Berthoud, Colorado facility.
· Due to federal regulations under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and Export Administration Regulations (EAR), applicants must be U.S. persons. · Salary range: $120,000 – $150,000 per year (based on experience and qualifications)

   Here is what you bring to the table
  · BS / MS / PhD degree in Engineering (aerospace, mechanical, electrical or a related subject)
· 8+ years of direct experience integrating spacecraft, payloads, and/or launch vehicle systems
· Enthusiasm for being hands-on with rapid prototyping and flight hardware builds.
· Experience with spaceflight hardware and environments.
· Comfortable with performing back-of-the-napkin calculations and analyses to validate design concepts.
· Experience with requirements and risk management tools, system modeling and simulation, and CAD.
Nice to Have Requirements:
· Prior experiencing leading multiple flight campaigns as a lead systems engineer for a payload, spacecraft or launch vehicle.
· Expertise in structures and mechanisms test and verification
· Assembly, Integration and Test Experience.
