Quality Owner

Delft Circuits

Delft Circuits

Quality Assurance
Posted on Mar 11, 2026

The Role

As a Quality Owner, you are the technical owner of product quality within Industrialization & Quality. This role combines technical judgement, system thinking, and measurement expertise.

You translate product and customer requirements into explicit, measurable pass/fail criteria and ensure that what we measure is physically meaningful. You interpret complex measurement results (e.g. RF, cryogenic, high-frequency), evaluate deviations, and take technical responsibility for the final quality acceptance decision for our products.

Beyond individual measurements, you ensure that quality is captured in a scalable and reproducible way within systems. This includes traceability in MRP, version control of QC criteria, calibration management, and consistent documentation. Not as a goal in itself, but to ensure that technical quality decisions remain transparent, explainable, and reliable — today and at 10× production volume.

About Delft Circuits

At Delft Circuits, we develop and manufacture high-performance cryogenic cabling solutions for quantum computing systems. Our flagship Cri/oFlex® platform enables reliable signal transfer between room temperature and cryogenic environments.

Based in Delft, our multidisciplinary team of engineers, physicists, and technicians works at the intersection of advanced physics and scalable manufacturing.

As we move from building high-performance prototypes to delivering them consistently at scale, technical product quality becomes a critical discipline. The Quality Owner plays a central role in ensuring that our products do not just work once, but work reliably for every customer and at any production volume.

Your key responsibilities will include

Quality Definition & Ownership

  • Translating product and customer requirements into explicit QC pass/fail criteria
  • Defining and maintaining measurement limits and technical quality profiles
  • Ensuring that quality definitions are physically meaningful and technically justified
  • Taking technical responsibility for the final acceptance decision of all our products.

Measurement Interpretation & Deviation Assessment

  • Interpreting RF, cryogenic, and high-frequency measurement results
  • Identifying and technically assessing deviations from quality criteria
  • Determining whether products meet defined quality requirements
  • Escalating structural or unexplained issues to the relevant R&D teams

Measurement Reliability & Calibration

  • Safeguarding the reliability and repeatability of QC measurement setups
  • Ensuring proper calibration management and measurement integrity

Quality Systems & Traceability

  • Ensuring that quality criteria are captured consistently within systems
  • Maintaining traceability of quality decisions within MRP and documentation systems
  • Managing version control of QC criteria and measurement definitions
  • Ensuring that quality decisions remain reproducible, explainable and easily accessible.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Working closely with Process Development, Product Development, Software Engineers (QC automation & data), Manufacturing, and Industrialization Engineers to ensure that quality criteria remain technically sound, measurable, and scalable in production.

What you bring

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience
  • Strong technical background in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
  • Experience with complex measurement systems, preferably in RF, high-frequency, or cryogenic environments
  • Ability to technically interpret measurement results and translate data into decisions
  • Experience with quality methodologies such as SPC, variation analysis, and reproducibility
  • Understanding of traceability and structured documentation in a production environment
  • System-oriented thinking: able to design quality processes that scale with volume
  • Independent working style with clear decision-making under pressure
  • Professional proficiency in English and Dutch

Bonus points for

  • Six Sigma training or certification
  • Experience in high-tech manufacturing or deep-tech environments
  • Experience working with data-driven quality or automated measurement systems

Why Join Delft Circuits?

At Delft Circuits you will shape how technical product quality is defined and safeguarded as we scale our production.

This is not a checklist-driven quality role. It is a technically substantive position where your judgement determines whether products meet the standards required by our customers and applications.

You will operate at the intersection of engineering, measurement science, and production scaling — ensuring that our products do not just function once, but consistently meet their specifications at any production volume.

We offer

  • A 1-year contract with intention to extend
  • Fulltime position (36 hours per week)
  • Competitive salary based on experience (€52,024 – €71,158 per year including 8% holiday allowance)
  • CAO Metalektro
  • Pension scheme (PME)
  • Travel reimbursement (€0.23/km or public transport subscription)
  • 30 vacation days per year

You will be working from our headquarters at the Kabeldistrict in Delft, with dedicated lab, assembly, and testing facilities.
