Your mission

  • You serve as the link between process engineering and automation technology
  • Developing automation and safety concepts for chemical waste-to-gas plants
  • Supporting the planning and development of control and measurement systems using Siemens S7-1200/1500 or 410, TIA Portal, WinCC, and PCSneo
  • Safety assessment and optimization of automation solutions in accordance with IEC 61508, IEC 61511, DIN EN ISO 13849, and Siemens-specific safety standards (e.g., fail-safe controllers, F-Systems).
  • Support for commissioning and plant optimization
  • Conducting risk analyses (e.g., HAZOP, FMEA), ATEX assessments, and preparation of SIL/PL documentation for critical processes.
  • Design and procurement of sensors and actuators
  • Programming, parameterization, and commissioning of Siemens PLCs (S7, ET 200), safety controllers (e.g., F-CPU, SIMATIC Safety), and process control systems (PCS 7, WinCC).
  • Validation and certification of safety functions in collaboration with testing bodies (e.g., TÜV).
  • Close collaboration with other departments
  • Preparation and maintenance of safety documentation (e.g., safety requirement specifications, test reports, operating instructions)

Your profile

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in process engineering, chemical engineering, process technology, or a comparable qualification
  • Experience in plant engineering, preferably in the chemical industry
  • Strong interest in functional safety and automation technology
  • A strong willingness to learn and motivation to familiarize yourself with new technical topics
  • Analytical skills for conducting risk analyses and troubleshooting in complex systems.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative, as well as high motivation and a strong work ethic
  • Team-oriented approach, strong communication skills, and willingness to travel occasionally
  • Excellent written and spoken German and good written and spoken English.
