Your mission
As our (Senior) People Operations Manager, you will lead and optimize smooth and excellent HR processes across the Sdui Group in the DACH region. We seek an experienced professional who actively challenges the status quo, drives process optimization, and leverages their expertise to elevate our People Operations. You own the entire employee journey from an administrative perspective, ensure the efficiency of our HR systems, and guarantee the accurate handling of all core operational and administrative tasks, including payroll preparation.
What you’ll do
- Process Innovation: Analyze, design, and implement new, more efficient HR workflows and policies across all group entities. We want you to question and improve.
- HRIS Expertise: You will be the key user and sparring partner for our HR system Personio. You are responsible for the optimal utilization, development, and data integrity of the system.
- Personnel Administration & Documentation: Creation and administration of all HR documents (contracts, amendments, certificates) and management of digital personnel files.
- Operations & Admin: Handling of all administrative tasks and serving as the primary point of contact for all employees regarding operational HR topics.
- Payroll Steering: Preparation and post-processing of monthly salary and payroll accounting, including necessary coordination and correspondence with external partners, authorities, and social security providers.
- Compliance: Ensuring adherence to all relevant German labor law, tax, and social security regulations, and maintaining awareness of the broader DACH regulatory environment, within all People Operations processes.
What you’ll bring
- Mindset: You bring a can-do attitude and the courage to drive change. You are intrinsically motivated to make things better and more efficient.
- Experience: Substantial professional experience in HR Administration, People Operations, or a comparable role, ideally within a dynamic or growing environment.
- System Excellence: Practical and in-depth experience in the administration and further development of the HRIS Personio.
- Expertise: Solid knowledge of German labor, social security, and tax law. Experience with the wider DACH regulatory framework is a strong advantage.
- Skills: A highly reliable, detail-oriented, and structured working style with utmost confidentiality when handling sensitive data.
- Language: Business fluent German and very good English language skills.
Where you’ll be
This role embraces a hybrid working model, offering you the flexibility of remote work balanced with the value of in-person collaboration. We expect you to live near one of our main hubs - Hamburg, Berlin, Koblenz - and be open to regularly visiting the office (ideally 1–2 days per week) to connect with the team and shape our culture.
What we offer
- Social Impact: Sdui’s vision is to transform the daily life of schools. We empower humans to transform education for a better tomorrow! In addition, you can take two days off per year for volunteer activities.

- We embrace Start-Up Culture & Growth: You want to take on responsibility, love challenges, and grow with us? Perfect! We are committed to continuously improving collaboration and ensuring that everyone can actively contribute to shaping the company.
